As I posted in # 3, this was not me just a video I found on U-Tube. I live near Daytona Beach Florida where we understand to perils of thunderstorms even when they are miles away.

Yeah, I noticed that. No worries, I am not saying you.

its not waterproof but...that being said, it is resilient...  DJi have designed it so in a pinch you can hopefully get it to safety... not so you can take it up and cause issues, so no one should ever attempt this.. good lesson tho in how resilient DJI has made their drones, but treat it as a good extra just in case layer, because nothing is directly waterproofed inside the drone. the resistance to water comes as result of things like DJI applying coatings on boards and silastic to connections which is designed to extend the life of the drone in normal use to use cases like dry outdoor use in normal temp ranges, water will undoubtedly shorten this lifespan more rapidly even if it doesn't kill it right away....

I remember when this was posted. It looks like the Mavic was in a pocket where the rain and wind were less in that atmosphere at that time. Yes he was lucky. He should have been bouncing down the street until it died lol
