Did I miss somewhere in the manual that states the gimbal doesn't point all the way down in sport mode? If I'm in non sport mode and flip it in, the camera angles up a bit on its own and will not budge back down.

My understanding is that the Gimbal locks into FPV when in sports mode on the spark?
So I guess that would limit it pointing down.

Yes, gimbal is in FPV any time you switch to sport mode.
Dunno why, but it is. Turning sport off restores it to normal.
I see no reason for this and hopefully they will change this in a FW update.

I'd say the Gimbal doesn't respond quick enough for turns in sports mode.

It actually used to go to 90deg in sport mode, they backed it out with a previous firmware upgrade.

Sounds a normal behavior in FPV mode. Yes, the gimbal will turn into FPV mode automatically when the drone is switched to the Sport mode.
