I had a mission to Monaco this week and Spark was with me. Apart of videos that I still have to process I have taken two pictures. I must admit that they were taken in somewhat challenging environment. The take off place for the Spark was the rooftop terrace of my hotel room. It was dawn in the middle of the city and the place surrounded by high rise buildings. I felt a bit nervous at take off and I would not have done it if I had not identified a safe crash area (hotel backyard) right in front of me. By the way all was in line with the countries drone regulations! In summary my Spark performed flawlessly and the view was too nice for not daring it:

Awesome pictures, How did you process the light? I have tried some night shots but have not been able to get this much liught in my shots, maybe it was too dark for me? I did try in a city enviroment with lots os streetlight and buildings and cars and so...but did not manage to get as clear images as yours. And I did put my camera in manual mode, rise the ISO and lowed down to the max the shutter speed...

Thank you both. Actually I just used the Spark standard settings and got these results. The first picture is untouched, for the Pano I unfortunately did an auto correction with Photo Director without keeping the original. The reason why the pictures turned out not too dark is that it was not total night yet (around 20:00 h).

I see, that must have been it, cause i took my shots at 22:30 so there were no natural ambient light except for the artificial light from the city environment. Thanks for the tip and clearing that out.

Thank you all again! I was somewhat lucky to do it at the perfect time I guess and I am happy to have dared it. My confidence in the capabilities of the Spark is growing each time I fly it. But will continue to always check the take off conditions very carefully. The surroundings of the place above where objectively challenging and warranted to be careful.

Very nice! I will be there in November, just for a night time trip from Niece.  Hopefully I get there with enough light still available to get some cool shots like yourself.  Will be my 1st time there, any food or must see recommendations?

Nice picture, but please check that most parts of the French mediterranean coats is strictly "No Flying".
Check https://www.geoportail.gouv.fr for details, the France has a nice drone policy (much better then GER) but they can get pretty mad if you violate it.

... but really great picture ;)

Trust me that I have checked very carefully. And the French regulations are not applicable in Monaco, although the French authorities display it on their maps. Here are the most up to date regulations for Monaco covering all types of drones: http://www.legimonaco.mc/305/leg ... 2CA30C!OpenDocument
And I have followed them strictly. For the Spark Articles 3, 4 and 5 are the relevant ones.

Thank you! Must see's are both Yacht Ports (Monte Carlo and Fontvielle). Larvotto beach is also quite nice for flying the Spark if you have the time. Another must see is "the Rock" with the Palace of His Serene Highness Prince Albert and his family. If you happen to cross him, the correct term to address him is "Monseigneur". I have had the pleasure several times in the past at special occasions but this time he was in Canada while I was in Monaco. Next year in October we might have a meeting again. Please note that the Palace including the place in front of it is strictly NFZ unless you have a special authorization. Another nice to see is the old Casino in Monte Carlo which figures in so many movies and is beautiful indeed. You can also have a look at the "Café de Paris" just beside of it but you should only eat there if you are willing to spend a big amount of money (a glass of simple wine would be 12 Euro already). But down the road to the left from it there are several small but nice restaurants that are not cheap cheap but reasonable for Monaco level. And all over the city/country you can find reasonably priced restaurants. Menus are normally displayed outside and you can check the price level before entering.
P.S. If you have a lot of time, the Oceanographic Museum is absolutely a "must see". It has been for a long time the home basis of the world famous Oceanograph Jacques Cousteau and his first submarine is standing in front of the museum.

Thanks for the great tips!  We will be with a tour group and this is a side excursion from Nice, so not sure how much and what time of the day we will make it to Monte Carlo...I should probably check the itinerary..haha  I'm guessing it might be a night time, which means no spark.

These are awesome. I've been afraid to fly when it gets too dark (like just after sunset).
