Hello everyone,

Today i received info that i need to update precise fly safe database thru mobile device, but i don't have cable microUSB to USB which came with phantom, so im not able to update using mobile device. Then i connected my drone to assitante 2 in macbook and updated fly database to 01.00.01.07, but there was update only for this data base, nor basic nor precise databases was updated. Now everytime im turning drone on im asked to update precise database. What to do?

The instructions are correct. The cable (or an equivalent) is needed, nobody you know with a P4 ?


I wonder if this would do the job:-

But this is first time i prompted to do with cable. I believe these database updates was coming in past. If yes i was able to update them somehow if no so i need to buy this cable. You think any similar cable will do or i need specific from dji?

What dji is thinkng?

I think that a similar cable would work if you can get one locally. DJI probably assume that most P4 owners would have a cable.

Any OTG cable from any mobile device should be fine i think

Please try to connect the mobile and aircraft via OTG cable, then update again.

Ok, so today i bought no-name cable and it works, update successful.

I Played all of them starting with Fallout 1 and now still playing 4

So waiting till Bethesda release new one

I have the same issue. nothing happens when i connect the two as the photo shows. don't know what i'm supposed to do to make it update.

Same happened to me.

I connected to Assistant 2 and did a refresh of the firmware, and then the Fly Safe Update took.  I suspect the initial firmware flash was faulty somewhere and why it sometimes takes two flashes of the firmware as with the third-party rollback attempts too.  It will open another screen and download the Fly Safe update when it begins working right.

Don't know why the firmware is stubborn on some installs requiring two attempts.  Might be why some drones fly funny and have issues too.  It needs some self-check in the programming/download area maybe.

Fly Safe Database is periodically updated to ensure safety, it's not a firmware problem. When you refresh or update the firmware, database is not up to date and that's why is needs to be updated.
