Ok, 2 days and i still cannot get the RC to update the firmware, AC updated fine.  Tried the following:

Update via SD card - nothing happens (firmware on device is same or older than etc etc)
Update via thumbdrive - nothing happens (firmware on device is same or older than etc etc)
Update via direct cord to AC - alot of crazy lights but no update
Bought new SD and thumbdrive and tried again, no update

About to write the absolute worst review i can of this product.  Worked fine 4 days ago

And all of these sites suggest updating via the DJI Go app, not even an option, doesn't offer me that choice, and i just downloaded the app

I cannot get either the aircraft or the RC to update. Very frustrating. Is this a commercial product or a science fair project?

Thanks for responding.  Aircraft updated to 1.11.20, RC is on version 1.1.8 and won't take an update regardless of if i try by SD card, thumb drive, or direct connect to aircraft.  My DJI go app won't even offer me the option of upgrading through it.  And i made sure i have the most current app.

Ok so I’ve kind of figured out what’s going on.  If your firmware is way out of date it won’t let you jump a lot of versions.  It allowed me to go from 1.1.8 to 1.2.6 with no issues using USN.  Now I just need to find versions between 1.2.6 and 1.11.20.  Anyone know where I can locate these?
