2.4 is better in terms of wave propagation than 5.8, so more received power reaches farther.
This may be mitigated, however, by the fact that in countries where the 5.8 spectrum is open to the public - it's generally much less used than the 2.4 one. Also, the available bandwidth in 5.8 is wider (2.4 has 50MHz bandwidth; in 5.8, DJI uses 80MHz bandwidth).
The combination of these two things - more users on narrower bandwidth - means 2.4 has more potential to suffer from interference.
So to sum it up: if you're out in the field where other wireless users are scarce, 2.4 should perform better and help you fly farther. In a more crowded environment where there are many wireless users, it is not so unequivocal.
All of this is, of course, assuming the transmitted power from the source is the same in both frequencies; In some countries, the allowed transmit power on 5.8 may be higher - and if the margin is big enough, it could reverse the outcome.
Specifically regarding you - you live in Greece, which I assume follows the Euro regulation (CE). Therefore, assuming the same level of external interference from other users, 2.4 should perform better.
