Hi there, I am sorry to tell I haven't got the news from our engineers, but will help to escalate the process. Appreciate your waiting.

Yep, its clearly a bug with the app.  Way too many users are getting the problem for it to be a specific user device issue.  Its gone on far too long for it to be a server fault and users of the other platform they develop for report no problems.

This is a pretty serious bug for people as a large chunk fly in airplane or offline mode.

So, any official DJI response to acknowledge this bug ?

(Can everyone also report it from the Feedback section of the app even though im certain they never read those reports).

Just to verify, you mean that your map doesn't work when you view it on the transmission interface, right? Or I misunderstand your question?  

Having same issue here in HK. Using Sony Xperia C4. However, it can show satellite image instead when I play the flight record

Newbie to drones here................I love everything about my Spark except for the fact that I do not have a map regardless of what I try.  Makes it difficult to fly to a remote location when you don't know what street or river or driveway is below you.  All I have is a blank white screen showing a red arrow for the drone and a blue dot for Home.  I hope you can suggest something soon.....using Go 4.1.10 on Samsung 6......thanks

Ok my situation has just changed since i updated go4 app. The list of downloadable maps has just shown up. Maybe it was a server issue as downloading a 250mb map still took ages. Nevertheless it just worked now for me.

Lucky you... I still get "network unavailable"... so have to wait for fix in next update...

I had the same problem as described above for both of my Samsung Note 8 and Tab A8 at home and at a nearby park.  The Tab A 8 has cellular internet.

I talked to DJI support while at work, where I only had cellular network only with my Note 8, and the supporter showed me to download the offline map.  The drone was at home.  I did this many times before and had the same network unavailable warning as most members on here but gave it another shot.  This time it showed the maps for the rest of the world instead of just china.  I downloaded the Aus map and now the map works for the first time.

Hopefully it will work when I hook up the P4P and can get the map for the A8 when I get home.  It's very weird but at least now it's working on one of my display/phone

Well I don't know what happened....I've owned my drone for 3 weeks and didn't have maps.  I wrote my concern on this site yesterday and BANG....I've got maps and I didn't do a thing.  Thanks to whoever fixed the problem

Still nothing here. On all 3 devices it still stops on "1%" for any map for any country i select.

Still stuck at 'please wait' after trying to download a map. Sadly no magic self-fix.

Same issue here on Galaxy S8+.

Is there maybe an intermediate solution where we can download and copy the offline maps manually? Because the phone I'm using for flying does not have any mobile internet.

So I've had this problem now too with my Mate 9 (supposedly a DJI supported phone).    Offline maps doesn't work - just tries to acquire the city list, then says 'Network Unavailable', and then the top back arrow or menu buttons quit working.   I got it to work ONCE today, and it said I had downloaded the same state 4 times.   When I tried to delete one of the duplicates, it just sat there saying 'Deleting'.  

My problem isn't just with the inability to use offline maps.  I can't get ANY map data.   Again, I got that to work once today too...but now it doesn't work again.  I can't fly with no maps.  Help?

FWIW - I just reinstalled 4.1.9 and the map functionality is fine.   Reinstalled 4.1.10, and no luck.   Sure sounds like some kind of bug or conflict to me...

I had the same problem I could not download an offline map. From professional software tester and have analyzed the problem. I think I found the cause of the problem and the simple solution. I hope it solves your problem by downloading the offline map.
If the app "HERE WeGo" is installed and the app is used offline, an offline map can not be downloaded in app "DJI GO 4".
procedure:
1. Open the app HERE WeGo
2. Disable the menu item "Use offline app"
3. Close the app "HERE WeGo" and "DJI GO 4". Important App "DJI GO 4" must be closed.
You may have to restart your phone.
4. Start the app "DJI GO 4" and download the offline card
Greetings to the test team of DJI. I hope with the next update of the app "DJI GO 4", the problem is solved with the side effect of the app "HERE WeGo". I wish you success.

Neither did/do I. And yet, it worked fine in DJI GO 4.1.9, but no longer in 4.1.10

I got more specific news about this issue, it is the server issue of Here Map that causes this problem. Our engineers will help to get it fixed asap. Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry, your DJI GO 4 has an issue of lagging on image transmission, right? Had you tried another place to fly? Please pay attention to the HD settings, keep away from the interference.

Please note that the quantities of the satellites you got don't mean the quality of the GPS signal. You might need to keep an eye on the signal bar of the GPS. Try to fly in another place.

I did fly at my parents place where i have flown before with no real problems but i will try my normal place i fly where i never had problems and report back.

Also its the whole app that becomes unresponsive or laggs 5-10 sec from any input

GPS bars were never less than 3. Would that cause my issue by any chance? I've tried other locations but only one place worked and even then not always.

the trick is to download the required offline maps under version 4.1.3 ... then do an update of dji go 4 app to version 4.1.10 ... search under DJI/dji.go.v4/.djiHereMap for a folder named diskcache-v4 ... rename it to diskcache-v5 ... thats it. Works for me under android 7 with various devices. The folder .djiHereMap is hidden!!!

In german:

Der Trick ist ganz einfach. Ladet euch unter der djigo 4.1.3 eure benötigten Karten runter. Updatet die djigo app auf die aktuelle Version 4.1.10. Sucht auf eurem Gerät nach DJI/dji.go.v4/.djiHereMap/diskcache-v4 ... diesen benennt ihr einfach in diskcache-v5 um. Fertig

Offline Maps stopped working when I updated to 4.1.10 2-3 weeks ago. Well, for the past 2 days I'm able to download maps and all maps are working again. Glad the problem was fixed on the server side and no app update was needed. Phone/OS used - Moto G5 Plus/Android 7.0 with August security patch.
