Could you give me a summary?

Edit:  I just watched video 2.  It appears you are correct!  It appears one can change the wifi freq from 2.4 ghz to 5 ghz on the SE.  I had no idea this was available!  Thanks for the info!

It would be very nice if this option is also available for iOS.

Your phone must have WiFi 2.4g and 5g support, older phone is only have 2.4g wifi.

The RC of P3 SE support 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. I would recommend you to change to another recommended mobile and try again.

hmm. ok so the problem is that listed recommended devices are just few what's on the market
i don't have any to be honest, maybe someone who has officially supported  device can check if frequency can be changed
look at you wireless details after on your mobile, it should show what freq is used

Some devices are capable of receiving both 2.4 ghz wifi and 5 ghz wifi, but that option may need to be checked in the settings (e.g. 2.4 ghz only, 5 ghz only, or both).  Don't confuse the 5 ghz wifi signal with the 5.8 ghz control signal.  They are two different signals and use two different frequencies.  Also, note that the 5 ghz wifi option is not mentioned in the specs page - I assume it's an oversight.

http://www.dji.com/phantom-3-se/info?lang=cn#specs

Nonetheless, 5 ghz wifi is an option as shown early in video #2 in post #4 above.

The SE controller is much more advanced over the Standard.  The transmitters are considerably more powerful, the SE has the ability to switch to 5 ghz wifi as mentioned above, it has the ability to receive and relay a much higher quality FPV signal, so even if they were somehow compatible, it would be silly to handicap your SE so severely by forcing it to fly with a controller that was designed two years prior.

The performance can be ensured for recommended mobile. We will add more mobile devices as  testing and development continues. Appreciate your patience.

The controller of P3 SE and P3S are not compatible. We will release on our website if more news is available.
