So - we record and fill Our sd card. I dump it onto drives etc. clear it and we use it again....the problem is it is recording with repeated numbers so I have to rename all the files to differentiate them prior to importing - esp if we are doing multiple shoots...
Question - can/ will the app enable us to determine the file name starting no... So we can create a sequential system at point of capture vs fiddling after. Not an issue on small one off fun things, but we have about 100gb of footage for one job and it does start to get a bit messy as I can't bring files into the same location without an additional step.?

Open the DJI Pilot application and go to "General Settings" (top-right icon). Scroll down and change "File Index Mode" to "Continuous".

Cant get it to stick though. Seems to revert to 'Reset' each time I start up!

Try making the settings change only after powering on the I1 with the camera mounted on it.

Were you able to get this to remain on Continuous? I've had the same problem within the app reverting to "Reset" even thought it's set to Continuous index.

Yes it now sticks on 'continuous'. Needs the Inspire to be connected for it to stick.
