Ok before I make a mistake and cost me a job, what is the general consensus of the lastest mavic pro Firmware: V 01.04.0000.    I've had a P4 for nearly a year and recently upgraded the firmware and since then have lost bottom vision and obstical collision sensors and have not been able to get them back after numerious firmware reinstalls.  Due to having a job that required me to video indoors tomorrow I purchased today a Mavic Pro and of course its prompting me to upgrade the firmware.  The bird is flying well as is out of the box and I'm afraid of encountering problems like I did on my P4.  Any wide spread problems I need to be aware of before attempting such a feat?  Or should I just leave it as is.

I just updated to the latest firmware and its screwed up my video - it's gone.  Its the old story don't update if things are running well!

Jim, the firmware offered some new features. If you have Goggles, I would recommend you to updated to the latest version.

OP if the MP is performing as it should out of the box finish the job that you needed to do 1st and get paid.
There's a lot of time to contemplate later after getting paid , JMHO.

All seems OK here with the last firmware... about 20 flights without issues

... simple... do the update of the FW after your flight tomorrow...

If I do update definitely I will do it after my job which I just completed with no problems at all. I’m just concerned about upgrading the firmware at all. Being my Phantom 4 is messed up now. I can’t afford to have this new Mavic go south on me.
