I’ve just been for a practise flight with my I2, using the latest firmware and Go4 App installed. For some reason it won’t start up or take off in manual mode (as I have always done). It does take off in auto mode but I would like to manually take off again. Is anyone else having this issue and have you resolved it?

Thanks,

Jerry

Can you start motor by pushing both sticks to the bottom inner or outer corners?

If not, please try to calibrate RC to make sure it is in good condition.

I’ve just discovered that it will start up only by moving the sticks to the outer corners, whereas up until now I have always used the inner corners to start up. Has DJI been changing things around again without telling us.

No, we didn't change anything, please calibrate the RC according to the tutorial video I posted above.

Are your sticks set to mode1 or mode2?

Mode 2, as always for me. The controls work normally, except for manual take off and shutting down by bringing the sticks together.

This is a weird issue... maybe try doing a RC reset and also relink the AC with the RC?
Rich

Try to reset the remote controller.
* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote.

Manually relink the aircraft to the RC using the following:

* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller.
* Press C1, C2, and the record button on the controller, then the controller will beep like D-DD.
*Let go all fingers, press the wheel on the right side of the controller and then the first light of the controller will become blue and it will constantly beep DDDD.
* Use a pen to click the linking button on the aircraft and hold for 3-5 seconds, and then take the pen off the aircraft and wait, it will be linked soon.

Hi Rich, thanks for the instructions. I have already relinked the RC from the GO4 App but could do it your way if you think it makes a difference?

Hi, Rich, I think the steps you posted should be updated for Inspire 2.
It is not necessary to press the wheel on the right side of RC to link RC to aircraft.
And the RC of Inspire 2 cannot be reset with C1+C2+Shutter button.

Jerry, the problem you encountered is pretty odd, we need the short video for further analysis if possible.
The video should include the RC calibration, RC mode, and how do you start motors.

We would appreciate your cooperation.

Hi jerry
Sorry for the misinformation. I thought the I2 and I1 controllers would respond in the same way for the reset procedure. My mistake and only trying to help.

Maybe DJI can provide us with an updated way to reset the RC for the Inspire 2, This could come in handy for these issues that pop up

Hi Mindy
Sorry about that.... I assumed this procedure would work for both the I1 and I2.  Could DJI provide us with the resetting procedure for the Inspire 2 RC please. This could be very useful when things do not work correctly.

Actually, the RC of Inspire 2 cannot be reset, it is not like Inspire 1.
There is one little point. RC has two modes: PC mode and APP mode.
Some users may encounter ''Disconnected'' issue by chance, because RC enters PC mode (maybe customer pressed wrong button), then the APP cannot recognize RC.
APP mode: press C1+C2, when you hear bi...bibi, press shutter button.
PC mode: press C1+C2, when you hear bi...bibi, press playback button.
