Honestly it was pretty much about setting a height with the drone I was comfortable with, about 5-10 feet above or below the cables.  Then, either flying around the inside or outside of the perimeter.  The only close call I had was the actual rope going down to the wakeboarder, crossing over my path as he cut across.  The place was setup as a triangle so sometimes as I made a gradual turn, the drone ended up right where the wakeboarder ended up naturally.

Definitely.  I did a bit of riding myself too but you gotta split your time as always!
