I have bought a DJI Spark for my son for his birthday next month and from what I understand it is a good idea to get some accessories as well. I'm thinking a spare battery or two and a backpack. Unfortunately, I have no idea which backpack to get. I've done some googleing and found this article: http://www.droneriot.com/best-dji-spark-cases/ and from what I can tell the LowePro CS 80 looks like a good option.
What backpacks, or even cases do you use? Any other accessory recommendations are welcome as well!
Did you buy the flymore combo? If so, it comes with a shoulder bag that is sufficient for carrying the drone, RC and accessories. If you bought the basic bundle then that still comes with the styrofoam storage box that will slip into any small to medium sized bag/backpack. If you want a bag specifically for the Spark then look at the Manfrotto Messenger range - DJI have one on their own online store.

Just wondering, I have the fly more combo which included the shoulder bag that included the remote, battery slots, charger, propellers. The Spark comes in a separate Styrofoam case. Are you saying you can fit the Spark and accessories into the shoulder bag?

No - into another larger bag like a messenger size bag.
Oh okay, gotcha. Yea I just traveled 2 weeks internationally with my Spark. I just put he shoulder bag and Styrofoam case into my backpack along with my go pro and accessories. It fit fine, but I'm looking for a backpack that can hold all of this stuff as one and not in separate bags. I saw some recommendations on this one https://store.lowepro.com/viewpoint-bp-250-aw
If you look on the DJI on line store under the Spark accessories there are a number of good carry options - the Manfrotto Messenger looks great - will even carry a 13" mac with the styrofoam case and loads of accessories. Doubt it will fit the shoulder bag too but you won't need it.
I use these two for my day trips... It can carry a 13" laptop, 8" tablet, GoPro and a good sized DSLR. The Spark, controller, 2 batteries and cable go in smaller case which then fits perfectly in the backpack.
Side pockets for other stuff if needed
I've been looking for a good backpack/carrying case for my Spark but most of the ones I saw did not have room to fit my iPad adapter for the RC. Well, I came across this one on Amazon for a very reasonable $35 and it works a treat. It has side pockets on the outside that hold the prop guards, a big outer pocket on the front that holds multiple sets of extra props as well as my iPad Mini sunshade, another smaller front pocket above that. On the inside of the front panel there's two mesh pockets that fit my FAA card/literature and my Polar Pro filters, below that I made an area with the adjustable walls at the top to hold the remote, below that is a bigger area that holds the Spark in it's hardshell case (along with extra batteries and battery clip inside the case), underneath that I put my iPad and landing pad, and then my iPad adapter rests on top of that. When I first opened the package I thought the backpack would be too small but surprisingly it all fits in there perfectly and does exactly what I wanted. Here is a link to the backpack on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/produc ... 0_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I really like the Polar Pro accessories. The small bag which holds just the Spark will fit into almost any back pack. Combine that with a PolarPro gimble protector and you will be good.
PGY tech offer great protection for the controller if you have space a soft bag for the remote is good. Batteries are a great idea. As others have mentioned if you have the flymore then the charger is great. Maybe a charger which allows charging 3 or more batteries at once.
FYI : The PolarPro gimbal protector is IMHO one of the best. I have tried loads of them. You will need to adjust some of the pads so it it not so tight on the camera. Also it will not stop dirt / sand etc getting into the gimble. But you have the putter case for that.
