How are you trying to move the gimbal? It sounds like you are just using the 5D button. There is a gimbal dial on the top left hand side of the RC which you can use to slowly move the gimbal up or down.
Calibrate the remote controller in the app and use the tilt dial on the left hand side of the remote. Check your gimbal speed settings are not too slow either.

O thanks so so much I just tried this and works .I new I was missing something .i have only had my mavic for a few months still practicing with it But thanks a lot again

I have read manual I was using that the gimbal wheel but I forgot must of had some kind memory loss I no I must sound thick lol

No worries, it's commonplace for a lot of us. I was looking for my sunglasses the other day while flying and swore I lost them but later found them sitting on my head.
