Updating my status regarding beta .600 and problems mentioned in my previous post in this thread.
Restoring factory defaults, re-flashing the .600 beta firmware, restoring factory settings once again + calibrating VPS, IMU etc I am happy to confirm all of my problems are now gone with this beta version of firmware. Sport mode is rock solid again, even in slight wind there are no unexpected behaviour! And uncommanded climbing when braking has not happened again.
Gimball has gone limp on me once (4K / 30fps / MP4) but it is still huge improvement to .106 firmware, and I have not experienced any stopping of recording since.
As of now I am really happy camper once again, seems that the .600 beta is spot on for the problems I had - afterall. I have still my doubts as someone before me mentioned, questioning the update process integrity as such, since I cannot be sure now which did the trick; repeated factory resets between firmware reflashing? Maybe, since just reflashing firmware with all the batteries two times, made it fly like a lunatic i.e. it still did not clear all of the settings etc.
So, when reflashing, some things (settings, values, you name it) stay on the drone even you reflash it over and over again. I am wondering why firmware update process wouldnt restore factory defaults to everything in the first place? Given the interval which the firmware updates arrive, it shouldnt be big of a problem to apply settings after updating..
So my advice for someone else to try; with DJI Assistant 2, restore factory defaults for the drone, restart the drone, re-flash beta .600, restart the drone, restore factory defaults, restart the drone, do VPS + IMU calibration + restarts for those and .. give it a try. I hope it works for you too. |
