How about an option that automatically starts video recording when Sparks takes-off?

I was using Spark from my boat at sea yesterday which is a stressful activity. I took off the first time and forgot to press record so that wasted that battery. I realised this and then flew it around again on another battery and AGAIN forgot to record as I was concentrating hard on not losing sight and control of the Spark. Therefore I went through two stressful flights and got no footage.

An option where recording starts automatically every flight and you are asked on landing "Do you want to save the video?" would have prevented this.

I've done this too a few times. Pretty furstrating.
The only way it records automatically is with the quickshot modes.
I make a habit now of pressing record before I take off and recording the entire flight, even though I may only use a part of it.

You still should have the 720p transmission video on the device. If that helps?

Then taking a photo won’t work, because the video has to be stopped first.

Before I lift off I usually start DUrecord, screen recording, and turn on the GPS on my device connected to the RC. Also I usually also start video record at the very beginning. But I have also done what others have done...several times.....forgot to start recording during the whole session. I have read others have a check list they go through when starting.

Yep. Been 9-10 minutes into a flight, doing things I had never done before, just looking at the view and loving it on the phone/tablet, and...... forgot to start recording. Has happened several times.

Yeaah...imguilty too just happend for me this week-end...

It happens to me a few times, especially when I was a newbie, was too nervous, haha. BTW, nice shot.

Seems to happen to most of us. Yours is a very sensible suggestion. DJI please take note.

I think automatic video record can help solve this problem, maybe our engineers will consider this feature. But I think you will remember to record videos after more flights.

i have done this loads but there is a fix on the DJI site to recover the files, and it works a dream link is below
