Hello,
Did a small flight yesterday, first after upgrading my iPhone 7Plus to iOS 11.1. I had too many disconnecting issues from DJI GO. Image was lost and the app shows it was disconnected from the drone.
I tried different cables, restart the app, the controller and it kept happening during 3 or 4 fly tests I did.
Any one is having this issue?

Even in airplane-mode? iPhone in airplane mode? I keep it in AM and never a disconnection issue.

I’m on iOS 11,1 beta 2 with DJI go 4.1.12 and it feels better than ever.. and yes I did have a few disconnects appear.. I swapped out cable and hasn’t happened since.  Weirdly I swapped from a brand new anker cable that’s been working very well  to an abused anker cable that kind of stopped working other week, and it fixed it.  No idea..


To me it seem like dji go needs an iOS 11 based update...some oddities that happen that make little sense.  

I use mine drone with iOS 11.1 with no problem. Have you also tried refreshing iOS system? You can try.

i had problems with ios 11.1 public beta 2
app crush, disconnect and act wierd.
yesterday upgraded to beta 3, hope it will solve it

Thanks for your input guys. I upgraded to the latest beta that  became available yesterday. Flew a complete battery today, no issues. Will continue testing and report back if problem appears again.

A new beta of iOS 11 was available yesterday. Downloaded it and test mavic today. Disconnection returned !

How to refresh OS system?

Please try to unplug the usb cable and connect it again. In addition, you can try to reinstall the app and see if it works.

This is what I’m doing to regain connection and see image again. Hope it’s not a mavic issue! :-(

If the problem is getting worse, I would recommend you update the iOS mobile device’s operating system to iOS 11 again with the iTunes.

I’m sure you know this but, after downloading beta versions of iOS make sure you do several hard reboots before using...

How to refresh OS system?

You can connect your mobile device to iTunes, then refresh the system. Or you can also contact Apple support for further details. Also, you can try upgrade to iOS 11.1 beta 3, the connecting issue might recover. And now we are talking to apple to solve this issue. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

I do use a iPhone 6 Plus with 11.1 Beta 4, but gone through 11.0, 11.0,2, 11.0.3 (this three not Beta) and with all them I haven't got any issue using DJI go 4 with my Mavic Pro on latest FW.

same issue here, continue disconnections, with the standard USB cable is little better, but with the side cable is almost impossible to use...

Just purchased iPad Pro with iOS 11.1 that I was using to activate my new Phantom 4 Pro.  I was having all sorts of issues with the RC including not linking to the P4P and overall connectivity problems. As a last resort I used an older iPhone with 11.03 and everything worked fine, which totally surprised me.   I then reverted my iPad from 11.1 to 11.03 and it works fine.   Bottom line, iOS 11.1 is not compatible at least with the P4P and DJI GO4 app. IF you having problems, check your software version, if its 11.1, revert back to 11.03.

Thank you so much for this reply.  I have gone through the exact same thing with my P4P and two different phones on ios 11.   May I ask how you reverted your phone to a previous operating system?

I leave for Brazil in 6 days.  I am going to be beyond upset if I can't even fly while I'm down there
