There was a learning curve where I continually would ascend every time I wished to fly forward. In hindsight maybe changing to an appropriate control layout would have been fine. I decided to ride it out and get the hang of default control settings just in case an update reverted them back and I wasn't aware before doiing something seemingly stupid.

How about you? Default settings? Or have you changed them to something more natural to you?

Mine is Mode 2, I am used to it.

I fly in Mode 2, which was default for my RC what I got it. And Mode 2 felt natural for me. I say, do what feels right for you.

Yep, fly in default mode because that's what I've practiced with since I've been flying all kinds of copters. Easier for me.

I use Mode 2

I use mode 3.  Wanted to match most first person shooter video game controls.
