Are there any members that have received a new Inspire 2 within the last month or so? My question is has DJI made a permanent fix to the prop problem? I am ready to order one and I do not want to if at this time if there are only Band Aid fixes present.

I don’t understand what the big prop issue us. If you have some that rattle, place a small piece of scotch tape on the base of the prop, all good. Did this with a couple of mine that had a slight rattle, now over 20 flight hours later, not a single rattle. My high altitude props have never had a problem. The Inspire is a great product, and this forum is like any other, complainers are the most vocal.

If it's a complaint or not, it doesn't matter if it's a FACT! It's less than acceptable that a company that big like DJI ships 3K machines with basic tolerance mistakes, someting very serious in aviation that can affect stability and user experience directly...yes, we can put some tape or glue to repair it, but this is not what anyone could expect from such an experienced company.

My point exactly and that is the reason for the question. I don't want to put $7K down and then have to install bandaids. I placed the order in anticipation of the issue being corrected. Every manufacturer has a hiccup now and then, that is life. It was not intentional but it happened. I feel that the issue was in the past and has been corrected by now. As stated, tolerances are extremely important in Aviation. Quads don't do very well in the Tripod mode meaning as three props turning and not four.

I flew my P4P today 2 batteries with no problems at all... no restrictions for me on my iPad mini 4  iOS 11.0.03 !!  great time today and even flew the P4P with my goggles. I am disappointed that you cannot keep the tablet connected while you have the goggles working... because you need to plug into the same USB port.

unless, I am missing something, I lost my flight record too. My Cendence is on order and thinking it will ship in about 8-10 days more... we will see

Under my account both orders show as shipped.
I did receive the X5s I2 camera last week along with the strap.

I have not received any shipping notice, no big deal or tracking # with expected arrival date. DJI product usually comes via Fedex which is a good thing because they usually show up in the AM while someone is home to sign for it.

Received my new Cendence and Wow... very happy with what DJI did with this.

Connected to the Inspire 2 no problems and have started setting up all of the parameters, many are set a default.  time to relearn everything again

You should be very happy once you have a chance to work with it.  Waiting for the weather to break and will be trying it out for sure.

I ordered the Cendence with mine. It has not arrived yet. Rich received his the other day and is pleased with it. There is a nice overview of it on Youtube. One of the biggest advantages is the focus control built into the RC.

If I understand the many posts I've read, I'd say that the concern is not with the rattle, per se.  The concern is that a rattle is indicative of an underlying tolerance issue.  I don't have the engineering knowledge to say it is or it isn't.

You can do things, I guess, to stop the rattle that is heard when you flick the props with your finger but does that mean anything when the prop is spinning at 1000s of RPMs?  

DJI representatives have answered the question with a resounding "no" in various posts.

It's hard not to wonder if the same fitment of parts that causes the sound under "no stress" conditions with no other noise to mask it is something to worry about when four sets of props are spinning at 1000s of RPMs.

Again, I don't claim to have the know-how to answer the question but it worried me enough to ...uh...er... make a slight change.

And, really.....scotch tape?  That's funny.

I would imagine that they changed the tolerances of the hub. I never looked at one that had the rattling issue.

It is a sweetheart, so many features. I am keeping my Obsidian and intend to keep using that as well. I like to go to a large open field and just fly it around. It really helps in building the eye/hand coordination.
