I left the spark with the service center today (which is 30min from my home, so no biggie), but I thought I'd share this with you and maybe see if anyone else has any idea what's going on here.


I have two videos which demonstrate the issue:

Both videos have a description with links to specific times in the videos where the problem is apparent.


The drone was fine when I got it, but that was 2 months ago. So not a long time has passed since then.


To me, it seems the problem manifests after a while - usually when I already need to use the second battery - could be related to the spark getting hot?

Are you using an ND filter? I had a similar issue with my 1st batch (later recalled) of Polarpro's... with the new series it is much better.

Not using any filter/accessory.

The service lab contacted and said that they reset and calibrated the spark (before attempting to reproduce the issue o_0 ) and now they can't reproduce this behavior (they've seen the videos).
At the moment, they're saying it's OK and I should pick it up.
We'll see what's going to happen once it returns to me.
I have a strong suspicion that under real-world usage it would exhibit this behavior again.

I have found this happening when a little sand got stuck in the gimbal. A quick blow with a camera blower fixed mine out.

Looking at the videos, it seems to mostly happen when you're going hard in one direction. The increase in wind resistance could potentially do that, since the motors themselves are quite small in comparison to the other units. Calibrating the gimbal would help alleviate the issue, but please let us know if it returns for further review.

But why don't we prize the author for the nice view on the first footage? It's really amazing. Where did you shoot that?
