Hi,

Whith new Phantom 4 Pro we have two types of frequency 5.8 and 2.4, but everytime that we start the frequency predifined it's 5.8.

How to change this for 2.4?

Just tap on the spot on screen where it says 5.8 GHz and it brings up a place where you can change it.

Generally, it will pick up the channel with less interference once powered on. You can set it as Custom, and choose 2.4 GHz to keep it on 2.4 GHz. Personally, I would not suggest to do so.

How you know what's the channel with less interference when powered on?

Mine defaults to 2.4 ghz. I have to manually select 5.8 when I see too much interference on 2.4.

Mine also defaults to 2.4ghz, but my spark defaults always to 5.8ghz wish dji would make up their mind.

I think it has to have the 2 frequencies 2.4 for the radio and 5.8 for the video

Generally speaking, when you are in a built up area (towns etc) it will pick 5.8ghz because there is less usage on that frequency. The 2.4ghz frequency is used by mobile phones and just about everything else.
If you are outside an area full of things using the the 2.4ghz frequency then the drone will pick that one.The only problem I have found is that 5.8ghz just doesn't seem to have the range.  If you do change the frequency, just be careful of interference.

The drone will pick up the channel by itself based on the specific environment. 9#'s reply is spot on.

Yes but mine always comes on with 2.4 even with large amounts of interference from home wi-fi and cell towers. My wifi listener sees 8 home setups within range of my PC.  Three cell towers in sight at 300 ft.

Did you set the channel as Custom? Please refer my reply in 4# and confirm.

Agree, have mine set in 'auto'; rather have the flexability fr RC to pick up what's needed to continue flying.

I would probably leave it up to the drone to pick the best frequency and see how it goes. I would also fly with caution knowing there could be a lot of interference.

'Three cell towers in sight at 300 ft.'

Cell frequencies do not interfere with your aircraft. But WiFi in homes, schools, malls and just about anywhere will.

Yes Geebax , they transmit on 900 and 1900 mhz that they tell us. Has anyone used a spectrum analyzer near one to check if the goons have anything else up there ?

This helps explain image transmission on the Mavic, pretty much the same for P4 series

Er, that's maybe the reason why it does not stay with 2.4 GHz...Take care when you test the performance.

As I mentioned in 4#, you can set it as Custom, and choose 2.4 GHz and keep it. And it's not recommended, so please take care...
