Finally coming back around to playing with my Phantom 2 with the FC40 camera, and I can't seem to open the app using iOS 11 (which is on all of my devices).

Is there a workaround to this, or, when will this the app be updated to work with ios 11?

You're talking about a very old and outdated AC.  The app hasn't been updated in almost four years because DJI isn't supporting it any more.  It's possible it won't run on the more modern iOS platform.  Just guessing.  You might try an Android.  Or you can just fly it around without the mobile device.  You can start and stop the video manually.  Good luck.

Sure, it's old; does that mean it should just break due to time / deprecation?  I don't think so.

An FC40 is kinda like a Ford Model T.  They're both way out-dated.  Very few people drive Model Ts and very few people fly FC40s.  Go to a Ford dealership and ask for a starter crank for a Model T.  See what they say...

I think it sucks that dji won’t update the app. My fc40 works fine. And the camera is fine. How hard is it to update an app? It happens every day. They are lazy and lack customer service.

That's what DJI has been doing, the are quick to come out with updates, and newer versions, then no longer support the older versions. Same with Phantom 2, no support anymore, obsolete.

Have you tried to reinstall the APP? What is the APP version?
Do you mean the APP cannot even be opened?

I guess not! Today I updated to iOS 11.2.2 on my iPhone 7. The app suddenly stopped responding. It was working just fine with iOS 10. How do I fix it?

Just a quick update: The FC40 app is working just fine after I uninstalled the app > soft-reset my iPhone > reinstalled the latest version from app store.

I'm unable to get the FC40 app again after uninstalling it .. at the top it says "Developer of this app needs to update it to work with iOS 11"

I'm on iOS 11.2.2 as well

Hi bought myself a 2nd hand ipad2 iOS 9.3.5 had the app on my iPhone 4 managed to down load it onto ipad2 from iCloud . Brilliant now flying with iPad  camera connection.

I bought a cheap second hand ipad2 the app works fine , I also have an iphone4 which it runs on .
