I have a Phantom 4 at firmware version 01.01.03.01   Is newer firmware available for it? Should I use the Phantom 4 Pro firmware? Or, is it incompatible with the Phantom 4 ?

Have a look at the Phantom 4 release notes Here.

I suspect you're version v1.1.301 from April 2016.

If you've waited this long then it might be prudent to wait a while longer for the next (hopefully released soon) formal version. There were some issues with the most recent build, that may have now been ironed out in beta versions.

Updating the Phantom 4 firmware can be done through either the DJI Assistant 2 software or the DJI Go 4 App.   The official DJI video to do this can be found here.

Keep that firmware and download it with  and send to a few us...

DO Not upgrade, not even sure I would ever. If you are dying too, do your self a favor,  WAIT!  Watch this forum first to see how the next release works out. DO NOT JUMP the day it comes out, wait to see how it pans out for 30 to 60 days after the release and whats here in the forums. The current one on some P4's is quite quirky...

The latest update is for RC only. The aircraft update will also be included in the release note if there are any.
