Wondering if others had the same issue? Installed the newer 8331 props on the MP but noticed the gimbal shaking uncontrollable (sort of up and down movement) when airborne a few flights ago. It then was followed by a warning that stated, 'Abnormal Gimbal'. I quickly descended and rebooted and it went away. Same issue came back on a few occasions.

Decided to switch back to original props, and what do you know? It completely was gone. No more shaking or abnormal gimbal warnings.

Since swapping the props, I used up a total of 8 batteries and gimbal shake was gone. By the way, I have the latest MP FW.

Weird right? have you guys noticed anything out of the ordinary?

What firmware version are you using? More specifically, did you upgrade to the latest version that DJI recommends using with the new propellers?

Yes I did that's why I was perplexed. I'm convinced that I'll stick with the original ones, call me old fashion

That's worth a shot. Yes, I'd recommend using Assistant 2 for the upgrade / refresh.

mine was fine all the way using MPP props.. you can try calibrate everything to make sure the issues wont return. because i had the same issue when i'm in old firmware, resulting gimbal shake uncontrollable.. lucky i managed to land..

My new props work great, no shake or anything ... they just work.  So you probably got a pair that is out of balance.
I purchased some third party Red Spark props and they were terribly out of balance. The vibration was awful, so they were returned back using Amazon.

So, get some new props and move on my friend

Just to verify, what is the version of your drone now? Please update to the latest v01.04.0000 and check if the issue appears again.

I got the 'abnormal gimbal vibration' alarm too with the new props. I couldn't visibly see any difference on the screen though and I was descending at 3m/s and doing a turn at the same time, but not in sport mode.

Went away once I leveled out. Never saw it on my old props though and first time I have seen the alarm.

Yes, I have the most current FW on the Mavic.  I'll refresh again to see if that works if not then I'll stick with the original props. Like them too.

Picked these up from the DJI website. I although I did see these 8331 props on Amazon, I wouldn't even take a chance b/c of the phony props out there.

I’ve got a couple of pairs of the 8331 props coming from some shady dealer in the land of China, I ordered them a month ago. Still haven’t shipped but if I ever get them I hope they work on .700 because I’m never updating....

So it doesn't work when refreshing the firmware, right? Just to verify, are there any broken parts on the props or something? If it is possible, would you mind providing me with a short video which contains this case, please calibrate the IMU and compass before the test. I would like to check. Any help is highly appreciated.

I notice alot of people having issues with the low noise props. Personally I think it's due to vibrations with the props not being properly balanced because I have read a few threads where people were getting blinking yellow light fast means imu vibrations. I have even seen it one time on mine so I'm wondering if the vibrations are causing your gimbal to act all crazy. On top of that a lot of these props are coming to the end user a little bent on the Leading Edge

No thanks to those newer MPP props....Since I flown 8 batteries and the (abnormal shaking uncontrollable gimbal) [/b ] issue never came up again...well....no need to go any further, I'm sticking to the older version. As the old saying goes, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'...

Im getting horizontal lines in video when on full throttle with the 8331. I checked balance and found 1 propeller a little off, will test again tomorrow and see if the lines are still there.

No lines with original props

Here is a video from the cached data.
In the original video you also see small, small lines.
In this low res video you only see the mayor ones.

That's PROP SHADOW. You will get that with any prop. It's  normal when you face the sun.

like they mentioned before, it is prop shadows when flying towards or sideways from the sun, ND/PL filters help correcting it .

Sorry, a bit late to the party here, but I have a similar issue with the 8331 props. I've had this sent in to our local DJI repair center and the props tested fine with their inhouse Mavic Pro. They had my unit in for 3 weeks and finally determined it had to go back to DJI in China for analysis. Needless to say, i'm pushing for a replacement as it's barely two months old.

That's exactly how mine reacted once I installed the 8331 props so I took them off and threw them in the trash.

Reinstalled the original props and all is back to normal.

i bought 3 pairs of 8331 and 1 propeller was quite bad balanced. so i threw that one away.

i could not see any vibration on the gimbal, but in my video i posted here i saw some lines that i thought was due to vibration. but it wasnt.

so all is working fine here, im on latest FW.

Here's a slightly better video I took tonight:

Yes, I could just ditch the props, but:

A. They seem to work okay with other Mavic's, so why not mine?

B. I love (LOVE) the quieter props as I can launch it from my backyard without bothering anyone.

I doubled check the props and they seemed balanced with no flaws. Yeah I don't get why the MP would still shake.

When you say you "Checked the Balance" of the props, was that while they are mounted to the MP?
I purchased a balance rod for checking my props for the P3P which consists of a perfectly balanced 4mm steel rod and a roll platform, but cannot use it for any quick mount props IE: MP & P4P. Do they make a balance device for balancing Quick Mount Foldable Props?

"When you say you "Checked the Balance" of the props, was that while they are mounted to the MP?"

Yes. Off and on the MP. Looked for any marks, bending of the props or any other indentations that would cause a potential problem but didn't find anything. I didn't have any special tools although it wouldn't be a bad idea to have one.
