Hi guys,
It's been a month since I got the Mavic and it's been very exciting. I'm spending every week trying to find where I'm going to go fly when the weekend comes.
Here is the last round of my First Flights Series. It was yesterday morning in the forest and I think it's the most amazing experience I've had with it so far. It was very poetic.

Freaking epic man!! I love that song too!!

The shots are very well framed, thanks for sharing. I would recommend being careful with flying in the fog or clouds too often, as it could cause water damage over time.

Very nice video and remember the birds are not your friends when flying your drone

Thanks Jamie! I was a bit afraid of that to be honest. The legs had a bit of condensation on them when the Mavic came back home but surprisingly the body was dry. I hope I won't have any issue next time I fly, you got me worried :/ Is there a way of checking if there is any kind of damage?

Thanks Lucas! They came all together out of nowhere (pun intended, there was fog all around haha) and it got me pretty scared, being above water didn't help so I stayed a few seconds and got away

The normal tell tale sign is if you start to see rust forming on either the motors or the camera. The Mavic being in light fog once in a while would be fine due to the draft created by the props, but continuous exposure wiould eventually cause problems.

Great video.  For birds, one tip I read on this forum mentioned escape by simply going straight up.  Birds don't do that as well as your Mavic.

Excellent video indeed! We have a wetlands area nearby that I thought about flying the drone. I was concerned about all the birds, so nice tip about flying straight up @StanfordWebbie. My bigger concern though is I don't want to disturb any bird watchers which is the real reason the city has poured so much money into the area.

Nicely done! That looks like a great place to shoot. Im in the same boat, just got the mavic this week and have been trying to take it out everyday after work finding spots to film.

Thanks Alex! Indeed, it was a great day and a beautiful walk trough the forest, and I'm not done exploring the area

Magnificent! The birds, while surely scary to fly with at that particular moment, did add to the surreality of the film! I am surprised to see swans reacting so calmly to Mavic. We have a few resident swans around. I'll try approaching them carefully to gauge their reaction.

I believe the fog had an effect of the sound of the Mavic and made it less audible. Also, I'm doing my best trying not to bother the birds, and fly at least a few meters away from them
