Background - I received the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian last week. It had the Air Encoder Error (0x4000000) warning. At the time DJI was saying to send it back, so I did. The replacement came today and it is complaining about gimbal overload. Both gimbal locks are removed, did a gimbal auto calibration and it still says gimbal overload (also has the Air Encoder Error (0x4000000) warning which DJI now says doesn't hurt anything and will be fixed next FW release). Anything I can try? Send it back again?

I will wait for this problem to get fix before placing in my order for the obsidian.

There is a small sponge thing at the back of Camera gimbal have you removed this?


If you have try calibrating gimbal.

Yes, the thing on the back was removed and yes, I calibrated the gimbal.

You might need to go to this thread and request the beta update. There are no issues with this update as many of us have been using it for some time now. This beta seems to fix most issues with the gimbal.

Four restarts on the drone didn't help. Here's the errors, general about plus a screen shot show how the camera is tilted.

I gave up and returned it to where I bought it. Thanks to all who made suggestions, it appears the drone gods do not want me to have an Obsidian, I ordered a white one.

Thanks, I ordered a white one, it should be here by the end of the week.
