DJI hasn't been shipping the Pro Platinum and they keep dropping excuses about demand - I've been waiting 2 months.  Anyone have some information on when they might ship?

On their website it states an ESTIMATED 20-25 business days after payment confirmation if purchased today - thats a minimum of 4-5 weeks before being shipped. I'd hold on in there given the 2 months you've already waited and yours should be with you much sooner than if you bought it now! May be someone from DJI can respond on here and take your order number so see whats the hold up...

Sorry for not being clear on that, good luck getting it on the promised date.  I just ordered sparks props, MPP props and MP batteries and it took DJI over a month to ship the promised date was 7 days.   I wish DJI would get their stuff together.

On the flip side I ordered my P4P with 20-25 days noted for shipping and it arrived 3 days after placing my order in November 2016. They usually ship sooner but the MP and MPP are in such demand that these drones specifically have notorious waiting times. Obviously the MP is widely available and you can pop into town now and buy one on the same day in person from an authorised reseller but with the MPP being a brand new release - it will take months! I ordered my MPP a week ago via the DJI online store and only hope I have it before Christmas LOL

I ordered my MPP on Sept 4th and still nothing.  I have been told a few times that shipping would be “mid to late October” - we’ll its 31st today, can’t get any later....  To add to my sense of annoyance, they processed full payment to my Amex card on October 1st, I guess because their pre-authorisation was going to expire after 30 days.  Should not collect payment until they ship the product.  Oh well, I’m sure it will be shipped in the next few hours.....

Perhaps you should reply to DJI Thor’ response.

The Mav Plat is nice but the props work on the mav pro and with a couple of mins etc flight, is it worth it?  I don"t understand why they did it to be honest.  Mav Pro Gold have a coffee cup holder?

It's not just the props and added 3 minutes in the air - they have upgraded the ESC's with FOC sinusoidal controllers which are specifically designed for the props and reduce the motor noise by 60% in addition to enhancing stability. Added with the platinum finish it is more than worth the extra £100 over the previous version - if you don't already own a Mavic that is.
