This video we mixed footage with our DJI Mavic Pro and the new Moza Air gimbal a with Canon 80D. Has anyone tried out the new props for the Mavic yet? Are they any different?

Nice video. Love the stabilized shots from the ground also.

Hey Montfooif

We used a combination of lenses in this shoot.

Canon 10mm - 18mm
Canon 50mm (Nifty Fifty)
DJI Mavic Pro

They were all used with a medium grade ND filter

Are these stabilized lenses?
Since the footage is very smooth.
I have seen far less smooth results with non stabilized lenses on a gimbal.

Or did you apply post stabilization?

The 10mm - 18mm is stabilized but the 50mm is not.

In shoots like this one I slow the footage down by about 50% shooting at 60fps in 1080 so all the little bumps are smoothed out. If there is any extra micro jiggles I add a small warp stabilizer in Adobe Premiere.
I am fairly happy with the Moza Air Gimbals stabilization but it does struggle a little with the heavy 80D

I think we looked at just about everything out there.. We liked the reviews on the Moza and the price tag.  Are you currently running a gimbal as well?  

All very pretty.  The scenery too.

I decided to go for the osmo mobile and buy Filmic Pro for manual control .
My Nikon D610 is a great camera, but lacks some video options and I only have primes without VR.
So investing in a gimbal would also mean investing in other hardware (stabilized lens and possibly another body to get 50 / 60 fps and less moiré.)
Its just hobby for me so next stop is a drone.

A Drone is a great tool for storytelling. It really gives your audience a sense and scale of the environment you're shooting in. I really wish the governments would understand this and stop making so many laws.. I personally only need to fly 50 or so feet in the air at most to get my shots and stay away from people. Good luck with your drone flying. You are going to have a lot of fun.
