I just updated my Spark with ease. However, I do not seem to be able to select 2.4ghz now, only 5.8 now showing on my iPhone 6S. This is frustrating as 2.4 had a good range. Maybe I have missed something.

"Dynamic Home Point for ActiveTrack" - Does this mean that, when using a smartphone rather than the RC, you can now move more than 100m from the initial home point?  I have been using my Spark on the golf course and using the RC is a pain however 100m isn't very far so it'd be great if this was now the case.

I don't see how you change from 5.8 either.  It also it does not appear to be covered in the new manual published today.  Perhaps I overlooked it.  DJI can you provide instructions on how to switch between frequencies and channels?

Start everything and go to the "About" tab in General settings of the Spark. There you see all version numbers. Today there is only new Spark firmware, not a new one for the RC.

I believe it is a typo in the release notes and that Android 4.1.10 is still the latest version.

it's not a type... I have 4.1.14, but probably as always they are releasing on a staged rollout fashion and not everyone get the same version at the same time.

Hi, although i am not sure and i have not tested it yet i think it is rather like with the mavic: when in active track mode, the position of the aircraft will be regarded as the home point. It will be updated after every 15 meters or so the Spark has moved while following the target. Just enter the keywords in Youtube and you will get explanatory videos presented on how this works.

To confirm - 2.4ghz wifi option has now disappeared. So if you are in the EU especially and using 2.4 made a significant difference to your usability where you live this might be a firmware upgrade to avoid.

Also with assistant this time it did not seem need to be done for every battery - I put a new battery in and it still showed up as having the latest firmware. I did it for every battery just in case anyway.

Then I hope It's not vital for the flight to have the latest app version, tomorrow is holly day here in Spain and was planning to go out and fly...

I just read in another forum, that by choosing the channel you indirectly also choose the Wi-Fi Band: higher channels are located in 5,8 GHz, the lower ones are located in 2,4 GHz.

Can a more tech savy person confirm that this is correct?

As far as I have seen you have to options, either AUTO or MANUAL search for wifi channel, but have not managed to get it work properly, have not had much time tho before going to work...

Good spot - just done it again - if you select a lower number channel it switches to 2.4 from 5.8. All is well.

So it's either Auto-everything (band and channel) or a manual lock on an arbitrary channel now? No way to to tell it to stay on 2.4 but auto-select the least congested channel within that band? Bummer...

4.1.14 is the latest for iOS and 4.1.10 the latest for Android. You are obviously on iOS.

The easiest way to check it is to go to apkmirror...
If there was a new version for Android beyond 4.1.10, it would  have probably been on apkmirror by now.

Almost correct: 4.1.15 is the most current Go App Version for iOS ( the one that fixed the map crashing). DJI pushes those versions out almost on an hourly basis...

Thank you for the information, that's interesting then and it will probably again take two weeks or so before it becomes available for all of us in Playstore...
What did the release notes say for your 4.1.14 concerning changes in the App?

Why do you continue to fail Android users by not updating the app to fall in line with the features available to IOS users.

To be fair it's Android failing android users. As I understand it developers submit the new versions to apple and they appear almost instantly, Android/Playstore get around to it when they get around to it - when there is a F in the day or something.

They've changed the menus a bit; you don't selct band and channel separately anymore. Just select the lower numbered channels for 2.4GHz
