Hello,
Since some weeks I have a new dji spark, my second DJI. The phantom 3 standard always had issues with distance so I bought the spark.

But this spark had issues with vibrating, at first I thought it was the wind but today no wind and the same problem?
DJI refuses footage, so I can not show you. It is the same problem as the Mavics!

It is not all the time vibrating but to much, it is not one time but comes back and back.

I hope somebody knows what to do?

Have you checked your gimbal settings in the App? By default it is set to FPV. If you set it to "Follow" it should work properly.

Does it happen when you are flying in sport mode, or also in normal mode?

It does not happen in the Sport mode, not that I noticed!
It happens in the normal mode and also when I put it in the Special modes, like ActiveTrack and Quickshot.

Maybe fault of proppelers? In sport mode everything is faster - when proppelers rotates slower in normal mode maybe dron vibrates?

Well in ActiveTrack following a car it is going around 50 km/h, thats the max.
It also happens when it goes slower, but with fast flying it is extra bad.
Straight up it is almost not to see.
The slower the better.

Did you try to calibrate your IMU and fly your spark?

I calibrated the IMU but have to test i now.
Also I will change the propellors.

I would recommend you follow the advice above and inform us if the problem is unsolved.

Today new test, calibrated IMU and Compass and changed the Propellers.
Yesterday Wind velocitiy 10 km/h, on youtube film it is 20 km/h.
Today Wind velocity is 14 km/h.

Again with ActiveTrack.
The vibration is still there. When it is filming from the side I almost see nothing.
From the back it is very obvious. The closer the worse, with low or high speed.

On youtube there is also a test with motor cycle in the second half same problem.


Or the problem is due to the 2 axis gimbal?
I also noticed the vibration is horizontal.
Software issue maybe, the 30 fps?

Sunday I will try again but then without the ActiveTrack maybe there is something wrong.

Many Sparks have this problem.
I was just so glad that my Spark can fly 500 meters and more without problems, no fly aways, just perfect. But why you have a DJI for the video and photos of course!

DJI asked to turn in for repair, so to be continued.

do check if your gimbal screws are in place or not coz i also have the same issue and i found out that 1 screw was missing and 1 was loose chk my video and image to verify the same in ur spark also

I've reported on this in the past, and I shot a video yesterday and it's still happening though I'm not sure what's causing it. I thought it was just vibration with the wind. I don't notice until after I download the video and i've already left the location. It used to happen the most when I was descending vertically, but yesterday it happened during a horizontal movement. I haven't bothered posted a video.

The vibrations might be caused by the insufficient light. Please fly your spark in sunny day or you can use M mode to set a higher ISO and adjust the shutter over 1/400s. Please keep us updated.

Ok good tip, I will try this (#30) tomorrow depending on the weather, the light is low at the moment in the Netherlands.
The screws seem to be ok.
I also try another SD card.

IMU + Compass calibration fixed the shaking footages. And also the drifts and ATTI messages when braking. Awesome !!

I have done manual settings with the camera 400 iso and 200 iso and new SD card today.
Flying manual no problems.
As soon as I choose Active Track it starts, the video is vibrating at certain moments.
In follow mode and also with circling around, vibrations, see end of the video for circling.

IMU calibrated and compass!

What are the derivation of your compass and IMU when you check your sensor state in flight?

I don't know?
What should it be, then I test tomorrow again.

I'm not an expert, but after my last calibration, I had lower values than before.
So low values are probably the best.

It is so strange that it only happens in Active Track?

Check if there is any difference before and after. And for IMU, choose a plain not moving board

I see the slight yaw in the picture, is that what you mean?
I had similar issue and I think its a limit of the 2-axis gimbal and digital stabilisation. In the end I just apply some stabilisation in imovie to overcome the slight yaw motion and only try to shoot without yawing motions.
