While flying yesterday, i got a 'need to update firmware' message, but i cant seem to find the updated firmware for the Phantom 3 SE.

If it's working ok, just ignore the message.   Everybody gets them.

Radrocket, is it the same procedure for the Phantom 3?

The firmware update of P3 SE is similar with P3S. I'll attach the tutorial video for your reference.

Susan, I am not able to download the updated firmware from DJI, the download constantly fails and i have tried downloading it using my phone and tablet (Android) and nothing!


Advise?

IF...a  Drone has to be On for 20 to 30 minutes for a  UP date.....isn't it good to have a small fan on the "gimbal" to prevent seeing the  warning  message   "GIMBAL OVERHEATED".......they can only take so much heat then fry them selves !...Am i Right .....I always have a small fan on my gimbal when i have to perform  UP dates....Thanks.

I was able to do the update using a different tablet.
