What resolution are you using? And did you try to use the auto-focus feature?

Try  touching your screen on a distant object just before snapping the pic.  That will focus your camera for distance.

Thanks for the answers above, please try to reset the camera settings, use auto-focus and tap the target you are going to shoot to get the focus. See if it works.

Although this picture looks like a focus problem, also check your exposure time.  Since you're shooting at night,, your exposure time may be long enough to cause vibration distortion.

Excellent thought!  That one didn't occur to me, but could very well be the problem.

If you attached one of the actual photos instead of a reduced thumbnail we could look into the camera data.
But it is probably going to be a very slow exposure which will be subject to some motion blur.
