Hi,
I have an Inspire 1 (x3) that I am trying to upgrade to v11.01.50.  The aircraft will make the ordinary beeps when it is going through the firmware upgrade.  However, about 4-5mins into the upgrade it has a long beep.  I still have control of the aircraft via remote, however, I am unable to see any video.  Everything seems normal with the aircraft with exception of the firmware upgrade problem.  Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated! The text file reads this:

ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ=

Never leave the RC on while updating the aircraft!

- Turn OFF your RC
- Turn ON your AC, with firmware on SD card.

Again, leave RC OFF while update, wait for update is being finished.

Sorry, I don't think I clarified.  The RC was OFF during firmware upgrade and I am aware not to leave it on when upgrading.  What I meant was when the aircraft is not conducting an upgrade, I can connect to it fine and it responds fine, but I cannot see video.  I believe the firmware upgrade is the problem though.  It fails everytime I try to upgrade the firmware.

Same person, sorry I just changed my avatar name.  I am not new to "drones", rather I have been flying UAV's for over 10 years for the military and as a contractor.  However, I am somewhat new to DJI products.

Roger that.
It seems that your AC firmware and your RC firmware are way out of sync.
I recommend to downgrade the RC to match the AC version. (Maybe a relink between AC/RC must be done again)
It's necessary because DJI changed the encryption scheme sometimes in between.

So, when you are able to see the video feed and you can control/fly the aircraft, then start updating 1 version to the next only
I'm not sure which version you can skip, to be on the safe side, update in sequence.

You can find old firmware here: http://www.panorobot.com/dji/inspire_firmwares.htm

Awesome!  I will give it a shot and update as I complete it!  I believe I will have more time tomorrow to try it out, either way, I will send an update.  Thanks for the help!

Is the current firmware version of the aircraft 1.2.1.0+?
Long beep sound means the update was failed. If it fails again, please show us the log details of update, which can be found in hidden files: \MISC\LOG\WM610_FW_LOG_AB.txt.

Hi Mindy,

That is correct, it is on version 1.2.1.0+.  Here is the log details below.  The firmware upgrade keeps failing.  When I am not trying to do the upgrade, I still have control of the aircraft, just no video.

You have several too old packets your tried to update with and some seems to be reported being corrupted.   I would try to format the SD card in the craft, copy the latest FW and make an attempt again.

When I try to update the firmware with the new one firmware, the light blinks yellow.  I do not get the upgrade failed beeps, but if I let it sit for a while and then shut it down and remove the SD card, there is no firmware upgrade log file.  Any suggestions?

Did you try format the SD card in the craft with the DJI GO app? Then copy over WM610_FW_V01.11.01.50.bin to the SD card and start up the craft?

Yep, I tried formatting the SD card through the app then installing the firmware onto the SD card.  I also tried the debug file and still no progress.  I am stumped...any suggestions?

It comes up with this in the text file.....
