Iphone X is a new model. The performance can not be ensured as it has not been fully tested. But if you be more specific of your main issue, we'd like to help you.
Thank you for the help. I understand iphone X is an issue as it is new, but as you will see, I believe it is the iOS. I will be as detailed as possible:
I have a Phantom 4 Pro in white that I received on Thursday. The very next day, I received an iPhone X, 256 gb with iOS 11.00
I downloaded the latest updates to my phone, pushing the iOS to 11.10 Then I plugged my Phantom into the computer as instructed, to get any firmware updates from the DJI Assistant 2 program. So at this point I have never flown it, but everything from the phone to drone was updated fully.
Next I download the latest DJI Go 4 app for my phone. It was the one released prior to today. Try to connect my phone from usb to converter cable to mini usb jack on the remote. Power on remote.
Nothing happens. No buzz, no charging, nothing. I switch to a direct cable using the phone charger to the regular size USB. It vibrates, starts charging.
Then I open the app.. "disconnected" Power on the Phantom "disconnected" Close out the app and retry, "disconnected" Delete the app, do a hard reset, download app again, "disconnected"
I grab my previous iPhone 6s plus, 128 gb, ios 11.10. Same exact steps, "disconnected". This is my backup phone now so I did a full reset, erase, everything. Download the app, "disconnected"
My girlfriend came by later so I figure I'd try her iPad mini 3. Also updated to iOS 11.1 The app INSTANTLY connects, full video, everything perfect. I flew around with her iPad for 2 days with no problem whatsoever
Today DJI releases a new version of their app. Plug both my phones in. Nothing
That is why I believe it has something to do with the iOS and phones. iPad worked with the new iOS. And neither phone would work, no matter if it came out 2 weeks ago or 2 years ago. When I get home today, I will try it on my brother's Android phone and see if it works and report back. |
