Can someone please help me overcome a Mavic Pro and RC firmware upgrade problem?
1). I'm Running DJI Assistant 2 version V1.2.3 on a Mac which is running Mac OS X "El Capitan" 10.11.6
2). The Mavic currently has firmware V01.04.0100 installed
3). The RC currently has firmware V01.04.0100 installed
4). This is the sequence of events when I attempt to upgrade the Mavic's firmware to V01.04.0300 ...
a). the V01.04.0300 firmware is downloaded and the progress bar reaches 100%
b). the transmission of the firmware to the Mavic then starts
c). after approximately 1 minute an error message is displayed. The error says:
Update failed. Upload Error Log
V01.04.0300
Note that the progress bar says 100% and that a RETRY button pops-up.
5). Clicking on the RETRY button results in the same error sequence as just described
6). Attempting to upgrade to the slightly older V01.04.0200 results in the same error sequence as just described
7). Attempting to "refresh" the currently installed V01.04.0100 also results in the same error sequence as just described
8). After several attempts to upgrade the Mavic and RC firmware I reset the Mavic to its Factory Default settings but this doesn't solve the firmware upgrade error
9). I have also uninstalled and reinstalled DJI Assistant 2 but this doesn't solve the firmware upgrade error
1). I have installed DJI Assistant 2 V1.2.3 on an different Mac which is running macOS "High Sierra" 10.13.4
2). I have verified that the USB cable cable that I'm using to connect the Mavic with the computer is working correctly
3). I still experience exactly the same firmware upgrade error as I have previously reported.
Many thanks for any assistance that you can provide to me.

Why not update it from your phone connected to the RC using DJI GO 4? Have you tried it that way instead of from your MAC? That is how I update mine. As soon as you power on, connect your phone to RC and power on RC it will have you update that way.
Thank you for very timely and helpful suggestions. I was able to upgrade the firmware successfully using the DJI GO 4 app :-)
For future reference, can either of you please tell me where the log file gets written when you click on Upload Error Log? (I'm using a Mac in conjunction with DJI Assistant 2).
Once again, many thanks! Take the rest of the day off ;-)
