i have managed to open the case of my P2 battery i found 2 cells badly swollen.
i might have a go at fitting a new 5200 or higher lipo as the mod on the internet
what C rating would be best?
i did notice on youtube someone used a multistar 10 C rated battery from hobbykingi would of thought a higher C rating would be better and have a better burst rating on full throttle

HI ... I haven't handled a P2 battery so cannot be exact.

Given that the average demand would rarely climb above 15A ... if it did then  you wouldn't get the flight times !!  In terms of burst power ? I would doubt its much above 20 - 30A ...

Flight time of 15mins say ... 5000mAh pack .... that gives with a 30% remaining charge ... would be an average power draw of ~15A over the flight.

But a 10C pack would with 5000mAh give a theoretical rate of 50A max ... with a burst maybe 60 - 70A. But not something I would push !!

10C pack would be sufficient... in the size suggested.

Of course higher C rating gives a higher tolerance to high power demand but there is a trade-off ... size and weight. As the C rating increases - you get a larger heavier pack.

Let us know what you do - very interested in results.
