Today I managed to get 1090m distance from my P3S before I bottled it and decided enough was enough, I had no break up of image transmission or control issues.
This was using a windsurfer and magic power mod.

Any breaking of one's own record is an accomplished feat. Nice !!!   My biggest distance was over 33, 000 feet of distance; scary but got it back in one piece.

I used Magic power v5.3 and DJI Go app 3.1.22 on IOS, My Phantom is on the latest available firmware.

1.44 km and then rth kicked in with my standard, no mods at all but it was over farmland.

Great job!! I just bought the 3 today. Question, how far can I️t go straight out of the box, with no mods? Also, I had a 2 vision plus and had a WiFi extender attached. Can that same extender Work with my 3?

That’s impressive distance out the box.  Just shows you how much interference can mess up the signal.

I think it all depends on the environment. I’m never far from other WiFi signals so that can reduce the range. The poster above got some serious range from his with no interference. My max before the magic power mod was 350m in the same area I flew 1000m yesterday.  Sorry I can’t help you with the other issue but there are some very knowledgeable people on here who might be able to.

With the Mavic Pro. Supreme copter indeed. Haven't pushed the P4P Obsidian that far yet but I'm sure it's quite capable of hitting that distance. I fly both copters in 'airplane mode' and no mods at all. 100% out the box ready.

Environment is deffo a major factor. I got the 1.44km in one direction but struggle to get much more than 500 metres in other directions. I would like to do the magic power mod but believe you need an apple or windows device and I only have android.

It's always a nervous blast to push out past you furthest distance. That only leaves one thing, a new record to break! Have fun!

Magic power mod is run from your computer, you just connect it to the drones WiFi network while you run the program.

Only problem is my computer is quite old and does not have wifi. I suppose I could get a wifi sub dongle
