This mounting bracket is not new and it primarily has nothing to do with OTG. The cable you see is just a normal USB cable coming from the bottom socket of the CS. To make it an OTG connection you would still need to put an OTG adapter on it. In summary it does not set any prejudice concerning OTG support on the Spark which officially has not yet been anounced, but actually works perfectly.

Yes of course, but the "function" is there already ;-) Basically the only thing that remains is to "legalise" it.

Yes, maybe it is in testing at the moment. Give them another 3 months. Hahaha

As Wachtberger said, the OTG function is available now  for the spark and is working off both the official DJI CS mounts which need a usb to micro usb converter or directly from the CS usb port with the right cable.

The spark can also connect wirelessly to the crystal sky, wihich is the officially approved DJI method
DJI don't officially support the OTG for the spark but it does work.
I believe the range/height is unlimited in the android  version  of DJI Go4 but in the IOS version it appears limited to 50m height and 100m range whe you use  the  OTG configuration.

So I just use OTG then like before.
And hope, that during there testing, they dont mess around too much, with the stability and functionality of these  option.

The only thing, which is very annoying for me is that i need to reconnect the RC end each time i want to fly. The microUSB connection will not serve forever, being exploited in such a manner

It would last longer if it wasn't the micro AB type port, that DJI have mounted upside down. The male plug is so loose that the tab is definitely going to be damaged over time. Each time you connect the otg cable you have to gingerly easy it in, a lot of people have broken the tabs in these ports.

They should have gone with the normal B type port which the more triangle shape allowing the plug to go in only one way

Please pay attention to our website and the OTG cable is not recommended now. Any news, we will let users know.

With the DJI Crystalsky mount for the mavic/spark , the cord is severely twisted back on itself in order to fit the central usb port.

It's even more of a challenge to connect it to the spark central usb for OTG, so much so I gone back to wireless when using the Crystalsky and the spark
