I didnt, my friend did and now im helping him. Why do you ask? Usually you update if DJI app ask to update?

You would probably do better to start a new thread, not continue a five year old one! DJI are more likely to see it and respond.
So what are the circumstances of this error, what happened before it appeared? Was the drone working OK and it suddenly appeared? Has the drone been asleep for a long period of time?

The firmware that.(usually) fixes this is not an official release so is only availably as a download.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. Fortunately I got a reply the same evening and seen it when I got up this morning. I was mailed the firmware and the Drone is now up and running again. Happy Days.

I have rang DJI twice and they do not know what I am talking about. I updated my phantom 3 advanced and now I have the ESC error.

Hello. I am receiving the "ESC error" too with Phantom 3 Adv.

Hi! Getting error on update V01.11.0020 with my Phantom 3 Pro. Is there a V1.11.0030?

Unable to get update to finish. Seems to be looping the process and never completing.

I have a drone dji phantom 3 advanced with firmware version v.1.11.20, I have not used this drone before. And when I wanted to use it, I got the message "esc status error". Please provide a newer firmware version to fix this problem.
