It depends on you, CrystalSky is created for outdoor aerial imaging, the CrystalSky monitor features an ultra-bright screen that is clearly visible in sunlight.
If you thinks mobile device is not enough in sunlight, sure you can purchase CrystalSky.

My Osmo constantly disconnects from my phone. A physical connection with the crystalSky monitor will alleviate that problem.

Unless  you have the RAW or Pro version you cannot have a wired connection with the CS monitor.

Have you tried to reset the Osmo WIFI?
