Been shooting Hyperlapses with the Mavic lately. This thing is really good at it with its 30mins flight time!
I did have to work around the 5 second raw interval limit though to get a RAW shot every 2 seconds. Excited for some feedback!

Hi what settings did you use to achieve this and how did you do it?

This was shooting RAW images every 2 seconds.
It is a bit complicated but it is the only way to get every 2 seconds or you do it by hand. Litchi most of the time however I have a workflow where I set the route using litchi and start it on my Ipad (android version is buggy sometimes) and then switch over to my android phone where I have an app that clicks on the shutter every 2 seconds (RAW) since the dji go app only allows 5 seconds intervals.

the mavic is basically flying a waypoint mission at around 2kmh taking a picture every 2 seconds in my clips. Interval settings in mavic allow only every 5 seconds but I found a way around it using an app to trigger a touch input every 2 seconds low wind is favorable and stabilization in post is a must usually
Then in post you compile it into a timelapse, stabilize and edit.

Thank you so much Litchi for waypoints, dji go for the actual capturing, LRTimelapse for editing the RAWs and making a timelapse, premiere for editing and after effects for stabilization

I think you do a fantastic job with this concept. But just to give you some feedback and I am not sure what you can do about it but in most scenes, the horizon stays pretty much in the same place except for the scene along the beach with the buildings and trees (from about 1 minute), the trees are bobbing up and down.

Correct. You can use litchi to send the waypoint mission to the drone, kill litchi and open dji go while the drone is in the air and then start shooting using go. The drone will continue to fly the mission since that is saved on the drone.

Yes thanks for the feedback, I am aware of that I simply could not stabilize it further than this. It seems like the drone was going up and down fighting the wind more than usual which results in a parallax effect in the background which could not be fixed with stabilization in this case. I consider this video merely a test to establish a workflow and to have fun with it so my next hyperlapse video hopefully won´t have that issue Thanks for the feedback

Great Job, so everything was shot using single frame photos then stabilized and edited on post, is this correct?

Old thread but I have a question if you still around.

Couldn't we just use litchi itself for time interval shots.

You absolutely can. I just do it through DJI go since I like the interface more and the image quality is better in my opinion/live view. It would work the same way probably.

You can also achieve a decent hyperlapse flying manually

1. Fly in Tripod mode and only fly forward at around 33% pitch forward or less ( The slower the better)

2. Set interval to the fastest interval setting possible in RAW or Jpeg (your preference)

Tip: If you you want to yaw or roll the AC do it very very slowly to avoid stutter, this also applies to altitude and gimbal adjustments.

Yup that's my recent strategy as well, easier for straight forward and back hyperlapses.
