Anyone ever deleted the .dat file from the internal SD card on the Mavic or Phantom Series? I have d/loaded many from both but never deleted unwanted files from the drone itself. Not sure about the capacity of the internal SD, just thinking maybe it should be cleaned up once in awhile?

Pilots are not able to delete the flight data files on the drone. But no worries, the previous data will be overwritten once the new data generates and space is insufficient.

dat files can be deleted from drone with your PC after you connect drone to PC with usb cable. Just like any other file. I just did it.

Hi sir, thank you for the input. And I would also like to add it, for Phantom 3 series, the data can be deleted coz the .dat files are accessed directly from the SD card.
For the data that is accessed from DJI Assistant 2, then the data cannot be deleted.  
Appreciate again for your supplement.
