Heading there for our son's wedding to a local lass, and apparently it is okay to film the wedding at the church and at the in-law's home. I'd appreciate another pilot's thoughts of the area.

Just returned, I'm there every 6 weeks or so. Hoping to get some good footage in the area during the summer.

It's right on the coast and the Black Isle has its own micro climate at times. on the coast it can be very breezy and a mile away completely still.

there are a couple of big transmitter masts but Cromarty is a few miles away from them.

Our new in-laws live there and the wedding is at the East Church. We will then bus guests to the reception to the in-law's home. The bride has okay'd discrete video work, and my thought was of people entering and leaving the church, and then gathered at the home. There are fantastic buildings in town as well as the harbor...I'm looking forward to the trip.
