Hi ,

I have the DJI inspire 1 and have had it for two years it’s worked great until yesterday when it disconnected from the iPad and auto landed into a tree.

There appeared to be no serious damage other than a broken prop.

The issue : when I power up the drone  there is no response, movement or action of any kind from either the gimbal or camera.

The drone powers up like normal and will respond to the controller.


Again there was no apparent damage and was a “soft crash”

All the gold prongs in the gimbal are intact and there is no visable wear on the gimbal or camera.

Any help or guidance is much appreciated,

check the two plugs on the backside of the gimbal mount. will need to remove the front two rubber dampers to seee.

Please check if the pin of connector has been bent or oxidized. contact.png
As TruGreen suggested, please check if the gimbal cable is loose or damaged.

Trugreen, I checked what you recommended and everything seems to be in good condition, I also followed DJI Mindy’s advice as well and again there is no visual issue with any of the cables, contnectors.

are those plugs fully clipped into the gimbal mount? the one looks like it not? do you have a friend or happen to have another Inspire you can mount your X3 onto to see that it functions properly on the other Inspire?

Yes all the cables are clipped in and are secure. Unfortunately there is no one where I live that has an inspire for me to check the camera

well you can try buying a set of gimbal cables to replace yours and see if that does the trick. or maybe post you location (major city/state) and maybe a fellow member is close by to help

other option is to send the whole thing into DJI but who knows how long or how costly that may be
