What is the best iPad mini to use on a drone phantom 3 and phantom 4 if I upgrade my drone? And which iPads have GPS

Best is a personal opinion, but what works great can't be debated.

My personal choice, in a dedicated device for my Phantom 3 Pro was simple.
I bought an iPad Air2 Cellular. It has worked great since day one. Not even a hiccup or burp of a problem or concern.
It is the Cellular version that contain the GPS module...

RHP is right, it has a lot to do with personal preference. I run an IPad Pro and have had great luck with It. I did install the tablet holder on the RC and love it.

Oh yeah, it's the cellular one.

Apple mini iPad or iPad 2 air both great.

The iPad Air2 Cellular is still thee reigning king of the device heap. Ha

My iPad 3 doesn't work, so I doubt the iPad 2 will  either. Eh?

We got the latest version of iPad last July.  It is much faster and has sharper image than the iPad we purchased 4 years ago.  We haven't had a single problem with it since we purchased it.

I use the Ipad mini 3. Its small enough to fit in my case and relatively light on my transmitter.

For iPad, it equips with GPS module in Cellular version. Attachment is the support list of the iOS device FYI.
