I have the ESC status error with the Android APP version 3.1.22 installed, it shows version 1.11.20, Remote Controller 1.9.2 Basic Fly Safe Database 01.00.01.05 and flight controller SN 03Z0139438.
I recently upgraded everything to the latest version including the batteries I own. Last weekend I took it out to the fourth time for a flight. I was using the Phantom 3 Advanced with the first battery without any problem. After changing over the battery I started to get the error "ESC status error. Turn off the aircraft and restart. Contact DJI support if this continues". I have since spend numerous hours on the internet researching the problem and performed recalibration of the IMU, the compass and relinked the RC without any improvements. I also plugged in the battery the aircraft was working with and still get the same problem. I don't have problem with the camera, it shows me that I have the latest firmware and it gives a ready to fly when I start up aircraft, controller and app. I have reinstalled the Android application and used different Android devices (all show the same problem), which all worked fine before this problem occurred. I have not crashed the aircraft and don't know what else to do. Please help.

Dji Susan, Why not have version 1.11.30 under downloads on the hompage??

I downloaded the file copies it on a USB stick and plugged it into the controller as described in the DJI issued firmware upgrade guide, but the controller is not taking on the update. I have done this before like that without any problems. I also tried to perform the update via the aircraft as described in firmware upgrade guide and the controller did not start the update. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I noticed that the upgrade was not writing to the micro SD when I put it into the aircraft. I copied v01.11.0020 to the micro SD after I tried to the v01.11.0030 unsuccessfully and I got an entry on the micro SD card telling me the upgrade has been aborted due to the identical version already being installed. I copied the v01.11.0030 back onto the micro SD again and then the upgrade started. Once the upgrade finished in the aircraft I checked the txt file and it stated that the upgrade to v01.11.0030 was successful. I restarted everything and in the android app it says that the version now is v01.11.0020+, but I am still receiving the same error when I tried to start the aircraft. Still unable to upgrade the controller. Do I need to upgrade the controller or is the aircraft upgrade all that I need to do? Please help.

Just a minor correction, the version it shows in the android up is 1.11.20+

If the file says P3S, it doesn't mean it's for the P3 Standard.  It's for the Advanced.  It's the correct file, no worries.

I am showing the same thing as far as the 1.11.20+ after try to upgrade my firmware to 1.11.30.  Also I now show gimbal disconnected when opening up dji go.  There is not view showing now but noticed I can still pitch the camera up and down from remote just no view coming through to my ipad mini.  Currently trying to reinstall 1.11.30.

HI there, I am still waiting for a further update. Still having the problem that I get the ESC error after updating the aircraft to 1.11.30 which shows as version 1.11.20+ in the android app. I need to know if it is important to upgrade the controller, which is not happening at the moment, as described above. Please provide further assistance and let me know what I need to do to get the aircraft flying again.

P3X means Proffesional and P3S means Advanced

Have you tried to format the SD card, then try to upgrade the beta firmware again? If it persists, please post a screenshot of the error message and a screenshot of the ‘About ’ page.

Hopefully we can figure this out Im close to just ordering a new main board and see if that fixes it.  I hate to waste the money though if its just a firmware issue or something minor.  I was hoping to have it up and running by now but things aren't going to plan.  Might be time to buy that new p4 pro I keep looking at.  looks to be some incentives right now

I too have the same issue after transfering my Professional board to a Phanvic mod, it was working fine then as soon as I started did EMU warm up, live video feed but couldn't move the camera up/down. I called DJI and they told me could be the compass interference.

Chris, unauthorized modification will void the warranty. Personally speaking, I would send the drone to DJI  directly if the drone is still in warranty period.

no warranty left that why I was doing things I was capable of doing myself.  Either way though I have decided to just send it in and let the experts do the repairs.  Thanks for the tip it was actually what made me decide to quit toying around with it myself and just have the repairs done correctly the first time by sending it thanks again Diana.
