EXPOSURE WARNING
: Make sure you have turned on "Exposure Warning"
which then makes "zebra stripes". This will
show a striped black and white area in you pict
ure where it will be over exposed or blown out.
This is very useful when
you shoot video. You don't want a whole
lot of zebra stripes because that m
eans that part of the image will be 100%
white - with zero detail, and no chance to get any detail back in postproduction. Use the Right Hand wheel to adjust the
exposure until most of the zebras disappear. Some zebra st
ripes are OK - and unavoidable if looking at the sun or
reflections. You just want to avoid the (whole) sky being fully
blown out etc. If you wanted to have zero zebra stripes you
would have to make the image too dark. |
