Anyone know if pano mode will be available for the Phantom 4 pro anytime soon?

I do know that Litchi has it.

From what I see it is only available with Litchi App, with a little practice you can easily do a nice 360° rectilinear panorama with the P4 ( or any DJI series drone ) by manually lining up your shots, shooting them in sequence then stitching them together using a program Like Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE), it free to d/load from MS site. ICE

Shooting panoramas yourself is faster and easier than any app.

Hi yes that's what I do currently but was keen to try out the DJI pano feature

The Pano mode will be available in the next update of P4P. We will release on our website as soon as it is ready.

How can you state that when it is not there? - but in deed faster than wait for, first to be implemented and then wait for it to work as expected. :-)

Beside of that you're right not much trouble stitching the pictures in software now a days, the software for this has improved a lot over the last 10 years.

Sorry, we have not got the estimated schedule. You can try to make it manually if the project is urgent.

Simple .. I've tried shooting panoramas with Litchi and other apps that automate panorama shooting.
And I found them all slow and clumsy so I shoot panoramas manually.

Point taken, newer tried any apps for this myself so didn't know.
I have been used to wait hours for stitching back in time and thought that nowadays i would be more or less just clicking a pano button then it did all by itself within the blink of an eye, just like HDR has become.

Yes it will have to be a firmware update as well. The pano mode is already in the DJI GO 4 app v4.1.18 but can't be used. I also have a Mavic and it is also waiting on a firmware update to use the pano mode.

Go southway in a few weeks and then i will fly so so much with my P4P.
Bought a second P4Pro+ today as my backup. Looking forward to get an update with the panofunction. If not - don't care. I will fly anyway!!!

I would prioritize that the stable flight and good old range was back before wishing for any new features, both Pano and mission planning included.
After issues are solved my no.1 wish would be better bracket control, all in all as Labroides said, there is no much hassle by stitching a pano together during post finish of footage.

Well, I have been using Litchi ever since I bought my first Phantom FYI. I would rather use a DJI product thus avoiding any warranty problems that may occur. DJI seems to frown upon 3rd party apps when it comes to honoring their warranty. Also, I agree one can do a pano without a program, but I like the ease a program provides.

3rd party apps are no problem and it's very rare that they cause an incident - I don't think I've ever heard of one such incident.
The potential problem is that DJI would require a DJI flight record and if you can't recover the Phantom, you can't provide the data they want to see.
