I'm considering the Phantom 3 but I'm not that familiar with other drones.

Basically, I want a drone that can do:

4K video
FPV
(return to home feature)
(follow me feature)

What would be the cheapest option (regardless of brand)?

along those lines, you will see a few..I don't own the others and other than the follow me the new P3 Pro has all you need and with 3rd party SDK you will likely end up with all four...

I've been researching this for a while but I don't have a definite answer. I think the Phantom 2 + Gopro HERO4 + an FPV system will be more expensive than the Phantom 3 Pro.
(Although maybe the Gopro has better video quality).

I also want to extend my options beyond the DJI range if there are good options, but I'm not familiar with FPV systems and all drones that exist. Hence my question

Not necessarily cheaper, especially if you don't already own a GoPro, but does have follow feature..
