Black Friday was very good for me
I found a great deal at a local camera store (www.cameratools.nl) and bought a Mavic Pro Fly More Combo!Even a bit cheaper than the DJI store black friday deal on the white one
I also ordered the Polar Pro DJI Mavic Cinema Series 6-pack to be able to control my shutterspeed and reduce some reflections when needed. (that was also on sale by coincidence)
So soon I can finally get airborn and join the club

And I bought some accessoires, but they come all the way from China, so will take some more time.
- PGYTECH Lens Hood Sun Shade (with nice large hood)
- DJI Mavic Pro EVA Portable Hardshell Transmitter Controller Storage Box + Drone Body Housing Bag (to store the stuff in my backpack.
- PGYTECH Remote Control Thumb Stick Guard Rocker Protector

I have some more items on my list, they will be bought from the DJI store soon.
- 2x 64Gb card
- Landing pad
And some stuff for my Osmo Mobile

The waiting has begun!

at least you can fly the drone while you wait.  Also i would consider getting the quiet propellers.

Thanks! I will for sure buy some replacement props in the future and the new props are on my list.
I did read they are more fragile, so I want to investigate first.

I always thought you had a Mavic as much as you post here? Anyway Sandisk is having a sale on Amazon on a lot of their memory cards. Not sure if they are in you country but you might check.

While I was waiting for my first device from China, it was Hubsan H501S, I trained on a simulator for a smartphone. Useful thing. If you have not previously flown a quadrupter, you should do it.

It took me a while to figure it out.
I first wanted to buy a P4A.
I usually don't mind the size (I carry a DSLR + some primes around most of the time) but I could not make it fit into my mental picture of me on the road (especially when on holiday when the car is already 105% full).  
So when I found out that the 1080 'issue' is apparently solved I decided to buy the MP and sacrifice the larger sensor for a more compact design.
Looking forward to flying (finally)

Hi My first drone arrived yesterday a Mavic Pro and I got the fly more combo set. I have had a look at the aircraft and fallen in love with it.

It's back in it's box manuals only out. A couple of questions for a newbie then, Is it too soon to try a simulator? Should I consider updating the firmware or try eventually to fly as it has arrived?

Be gentle I am a true novice but have a great desire to fly>

You will love it, especially sport mode. She turns into a beast. I would like to see a circuit race between the Spark and the Mavic. Took a Spark to Lanzarote this year and loved sport mode early morning on the beach. Love it on Mavic as gives another way of flying if you don't want to plod along searching for something to shoot or film. Doing Dominican Republic next year and can't wait to get the Mavic up there.
